My Journey & Inspiration

"When you get, give. When you learn, teach." -Maya Angelou

Nina Rose took her first yoga class at the young age of 16 and immediately felt something special was taking place. "It was the first time I felt distinctly connected to myself, a power greater than myself, and connected to others", she says.

In those early days of the 1990s, yoga was just called "yoga". It wasn't until 1999, after a traumatic accident in the ocean of Mexico that she happened upon her first Bikram Yoga class and experienced the healing benefits the series provided. In 2005 she completed her first yoga teacher training with Bikram Choudry in Los Angeles and upon completing began teaching immediately. She taught full time and managed yoga studios in Seattle and San Francisco, and in 2011 opened her own yoga studio, Be Yoga Burien, in Seattle.

Moving from studio manager to Business Owner  and Studio Director was quite significant and expanded her role in leadership. She says, "in training and developing others, I receive the gift of deepening and broadening my skills as a teacher, trainer, mentor, employer, and yogi.

Over the years, Nina completed several subsequent yoga teacher trainings, with Baron Baptiste, Tony Sanchez, Bryan Kest and others. And in 2017 developed Be Yoga Buriens first teacher training in the style of The Classic 26 & 2, and then in Vinyasa and Barre.

After ten years of successful studio ownership, and a move across the country, Nina felt the stirring for something new, and sold Be Yoga Burien. In 2021 She completed her ICF accredited Coaching Program with Newfield Network, and in 2022 began leading Yoga Teacher Trainings in South Florida, where she currently lives with her two rescue dogs.

Nina teaches in-studios classes around South Florida, leads workshops, teacher trainings, yoga retreats, offers continued mentorship to existing teachers, as well as coaching and consulting to existing and hopeful studio owners.

Wherever you are, and whatever you do, be in love.
